Item Description
The Metropolitan Museum of Art is one of America’s greatest cultural resources and a must-see for any visitor to New York City. With over two million works of art and over five million visitors each year, it can be difficult to have an intimate experience—or any kind of experience at all—with the art.
Winner and three friends will be guided to a weekday tour with Joan Kaskell, noted art historian and Met lecturer. As a staff lecturer at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Ms. Kaskell gives gallery talks and lectures, along with curators and conservators, in a program she devised called “Behind the Scenes Wednesday Workshop."
Previous winners have noted it is simply the best way to get the most out of a visit to the Metropolitan Museum. Similar to the difference between sitting in the bleachers and having front-row seats to a concert: it's the same show but a completely different experience.
Tour highlights and date to be mutually agreed upon.
Item Special Note
Made possible by a generous donation from Joan Kaskell.
