Item Description
Julie Leff has studied art at Yale and the Silvermine Guild. She began painting professionally in 2001 and won her first art show, sponsored by the Weston Commission for the Arts, two years later. She has shown her work in numerous solo and group shows. Her artwork is held in private collections in the US, Europe and Asia and is exhibited at Yale University's Child Study Center.
She specializes in abstract oils because they allow her to explore her love of color. Each painting is the solution to a challenge of composing light, color, and negative and positive spaces to create an intriguing and satisfying unity.
She loves painting with oils because of their vibrancy and the beautiful ways in which they can be blended.
This beautiful giclée on canvas is 26" x 22".
