LEARN TO CATCH FISH THAT OTHERS JUST DREAM ABOUT. The Florida Keys Fly Fishing School gives you the unique opportunity to learn from some of the most highly recognized masters in the art of fly fishing. You'll learn to sight cast with confidence to tropical flats species like tarpon, bonefish, snook, permit, and redfish. Develop bluewater techniques and feel the exhilaration and power of dolphin, tuna, kingfish, and sailfish on fly! The Fly Fishing School ...provides fly fishermen of all skill levels with an opportunity to learn how to catch the fish most anglers only dream about and students learn from some of the most highly recognized masters of the art of fly fishing. Classes will follow an informal discussion outline with plenty of time for questions and answers. We will limit the number of students to provide lots of personal attention by the instructors. Films, slide presentations, discussions and field exercises are mixed to give you a sound understanding of salt water fly fishing. The school specializes in sight fishing for tropical flats species such as bonefish, tarpon, redfish and permit. Blue water and striper fishing is also featured. Subjects include casting, sighting fish, fly selection, presentation, tackle specification and selection, leaders, knots, fighting fish, wind problems, flats etiquette, short quick casts, and selecting fly fishing guides and lodges; your expectations and theirs. The school begins with a welcome reception on Friday evening followed by two full days of fly fishing school. Guided fly fishing is offered after the school weekend. Our instructor staff has been hand picked, not only for their tremendous angling experience, but also for the personal satisfaction they receive through sharing their knowledge with someone who seeks the ultimate angling experience. The school will be held in Islamorada, in the Florida Keys. The "Sportfishing Capital of the World."
