Please join us at The Fireplace for twice monthly tastings. Every other Saturday, you are invited to sample wines, spirits, beers and “tastings” of the season’s bounty. In an effort to share our passion for American wine, New England micro-brewed beer, local produce and fine liquor, we offer the opportunity to indulge with us.
Farmers, vintners, aficionados and master brewers will educate and amuse with knowledge and anecdotes, while those who attend will share food & libations.
Chef Jim Solomon is the chef/owner of The Fireplace in Brookline, a restaurant & caterer that celebrates the integrity of food in New England with rustic yet artful offerings made from seasonal local ingredients. ‘The Boston Globe Sunday Magazine’ named The Fireplace as Most Authentic New England Cuisine in Boston. Besides a tremendously successful ten years owning and operating The Fireplace, Jim has worked with some of the country’s finest chefs including Paul Prudhomme (K-Paul’s), Thomas Keller (Bouchon/The French Laundry) and Todd English (Figs/Olives). And, in addition to being the first ‘Certified Green Restaurant in Boston’ the restaurant continues to garner numerous awards.
