Item Description

SCRIPT CONSULTATION

Have a play sitting in your computer, waiting to be read?  A few scenes begging to work themselves into a script?  Here’s your chance for warm, constructive feedback on your work by Company One playwright Kirsten Greenidge.  The winning bid will get four script consultation sessions for one year.  Meet every few months to discuss your play and its development with Kirsten.

An Obie Award (MILK LIKE SUGAR) winning playwright, Kirsten has enjoyed working with Company One for the past decade. A native of Arlington, Massachusetts, Kirsten’s work has been seen at Playwright’s Horizons, Women’s Theater Project, and La Jolla Playhouse (MILK LIKE SUGAR/Edgerton Award for New American Play; Lucille Lortel Nominee; AUDELCO Award Nominee), LUCK OF THE IRISH (Huntington Theater Company, LTC3), BOSSA NOVA (Yale Repertory Theatre/ Edgerton Award for New American Play; American Theater Critics Award Nominee), RUST (Magic Theater), THE GIBSON GIRL and A MORE PERFECT UNION (CompanyOne) and 103 Within the Veil (Company One; IRNE Award for Best New Play). A former NEA/TCG playwright in residence at Woolly Mammoth, Kirsten has enjoyed development experiences at Sundance, Sundance at UCross, the O’Neill, Pacific Playwrights Festival (South Coast Rep), and Bay Area Playwrights Festival. Kirsten was the inaugural fellowship for Page 73’s playwrighting fellowship program. Current projects include commissions from Company One, Yale Rep, Denver Center Theater, The Goodman, La Jolla Playhouse, and Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Early in her career Kirsten was a recipient of the Lorraine Hansberry Award and the Mark David Cohen Award by the Kennedy Center’s American College Theater Festival. She was the proud recipient of the 2011 David Wheeler Award in 2011. She attended Wesleyan University and The Playwrights Workshop at the University of Iowa. Kirsten is a member of New Dramatists and Boston’s Rhombus writing group.
