Dancing Hares Meritage Blend–You’ll Dance for Joy!
--one 1.5 L Dancing Hares Vineyards Meritage Blend
In the words of vintners and winery owners Paula Brooks and Bob Cook, they came into this business loving wine and loving the Napa Valley, but also knowing that they wanted to work with the most respected people in the business. And that they did, putting together the team of Vineyard Manager David Abreu, Winemaker Andy Erickson, and consulting oenologist Michel Rolland. The goal at Dancing Hares is to produce a wine, without varietal designation, that best captures the character of the vintage and their unique terroir.
Nearly eight years after the inaugural vintage from the Dancing Hares estate, the 2003 Dancing Hares has evolved into an alluring, graceful example of what this special vineyard can deliver. A blend of 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, and 19% Cabernet Franc, the wine has developed a very attractive bottle bouquet, with aromas of dried sage, fresh thyme, and exotic hardwood, mingling with deep, ripe berry aromas. The tannins have softened and rounded with time, and bring a soft, silky entry on the palate. The dense fruit at the wine’s core lingers, leaving a mouthwatering, complex finish. This wine has arrived at an exciting time in its evolution, and should continue to develop well in the near future.
Here is your chance to acquire a magnum of this limited quantity wine from the Dancing Hares Library. And you’ll dance for joy when you drink it!
