Item Description

Feed your beastly appetite for adventure with this Big Cat Keeper Tour for two!

If you are an animal lover and want to see the inner workings of a real animal sanctuary, then this two-hour experience is what you have been searching for! The Big Cat Keeper Tour is the most exclusive, behind the scenes experience you can find in the animal world that is respectful to the animals and safe for the guests.

The Keeper Tour includes:

  • Enrichment: You’ll make toys and treats for the cats, watch as a keeper hands out what you’ve made and observe the animals’ reactions as they investigate.
  • Operant conditioning: You’ll witness a training session between the cats & keepers, where the cats learn to carry out natural behaviors on command.
  • History: You’ll learn the history behind our furry friends and the story of why Big Cat Rescue was founded as you take a guided mini tour of the 55 acre sanctuary.

Big Cat Rescue, a nonprofit educational sanctuary, is devoted to rescuing and providing a permanent home for exotic cats who have been abused, abandoned, bred to be pets, retired from performing acts, or saved from being slaughtered for fur coats, and to educating the public about these animals and the issues facing them in captivity and in the wild. Big Cat Rescue is the largest accredited sanctuary in the world dedicated entirely to abused and abandoned big cats.

The sanctuary is home to more than 100 exotic big cats – the most diverse population of exotic cats in the world. Big Cat Rescue has 16 species of cats, many of whom are threatened, endangered or extinct in the wild. Big Cat Rescue is accredited by the Global Federation of Sanctuaries.
