Item Description
Escape the hustle and bustle of city-life with this two night mid-week stay for two at Lost Trail Lodge. Lying six miles northwest of Squaw Valley and four and a half miles northeast of Truckee, the Lost Trail Lodge offers modern amenities in a rustic atmosphere, making for a comfortable backcountry destination.
Only four miles from the Pacific Crest Trail, many PCT hikers have found comfort stumbling upon the remote lodge and its hot Jacuzzi tubs. This 3700 square foot retreat is completely off-grid and is powered predominantly with solar panels, but gets a little help from propane for the commercial Wolf range, Thompson parlor stoves, and water heaters. Four cabins, each with its own bath (three with Jacuzzi tubs), parlor stove, mini fridge, and entrance from the expansive deck, are attached to the great room and kitchen by wide hallways. The kitchen has a double oven Wolf Range, two sinks, a bar, and two dishwashers. It is available to all guests who want to try their hand at preparing that gourmet meal. Cupboards are stocked with pots, pans and dishes. Guests are responsible for supplying their own groceries, or having their trip catered.

ADDITIONAL INFO
As the Lost Trail does not want to contribute to the delinquency of bears, the innkeeper will dispose of all garbage. The innkeeper is at the lodge and available to assist all guests when necessary. His cabin is separate from the lodge. The Lost Trail Lodge does not have internet service. There is a cellular phone available in case of emergency, but it's not to be relied upon, as the weather dictates the quality, if any, of the reception. Immediate medical service is not available at the Lost Trail Lodge.
