Item Description
Awarded the National Medal of Arts by President Obama in 2009, legendary graphic designer Milton Glaser is offering an extraordinary body of work he has created for Theatre for a New Audience. Milton's work for the Theatre, centered on varied interpretive portraits of Shakespeare, has forged a powerful graphic identity for our printed materials. In addition to gracing the Theatre's brochures, posters, and Annual Gala materials, Milton designed the Scripps Award that will be presented on May 13 to John Turturro and the Life in Art Award presented to Barry Salzberg. Glaser created the iconic image, “I♥NY,” and campaigns for the School of Visual Arts, logos for Angels in America and the Children's Television Workshop, and corporate identities for such diverse companies as Brooklyn Brewery, Grand Union, and the Rainbow Room. Milton has also created the graphic and signage program for Theatre for a New Audience's future home in Brooklyn.
Item Special Note
