Item Description
"Sheeprock at Sundown" an original 9x12 oil painting on canvas panel with frame by artist: Chrisite Kemp.
Christie Kemp is a Wyoming native, born in 1949.
She is an award-winning artist and her works are in collection across the United States, in Canada, Britain, and Australia. She began painting in watercolors in 1982, and eventually turned her attention to oils in 1999.
“I found that I loved the creamy texture and the way oils felt when applying them to canvas, so I became hooked! I prefer to paint traditional landscapes, wildlife (both flora and fauna), and subject matter that depict the rancher’s lifestyle. My hope is that my paintings give everyone who sees them, a sense of the pristine beauty I see when I paint them. This is beauty I will always cherish”.
Many of Christie’s current works can be viewed at the Blackhawk Gallery in Saratoga, Wyoming and at the TCM Clinic in Ft. Collins, Colorado.
