Item Description
One-of-a-kind beautiful crib quilt by Pilgrim/Roy, titled "Color Comforts." Measurements are 43"x53". Designed by Gerald E. Roy, Warner, NH. Fabrics designed by Gerald E. Roy for Windham Fabrics N.Y./N.J. 100% cotton.

The names Pilgrim and Roy have gained international recognition in the quilting world. Paul Pilgrim and Gerald E. Roy started working with antique quilts in the early 1960s when their interior decorating business prompted them to purchase antique quilts for clients. Each having a strong background in the fine arts, they also began ollecting quilts solely for their aesthetic value.
Today, the Pilgrim/Roy collection is composed of 2,500 quilts for sale and show and quilt-related objects, including fabrics and all kinds of antique sewing tools. Paul and Gerald were among the first board members of the Quilt Appraisal Program of the American Quilter’s Society (AQS) and where Gerald is the administrator of the program. They helped establish guidelines for this certification program, the only one of its kind. The duo also designed the interior of the National Quilt Museum.
Gerald E. Roy is an art teacher, painter, quiltmaker, and author. He serves on the acquisitions board for theNew England Quilt Museum in Lowell, Massachusetts and national advisory board and executive board of directors for the National Quilt Museum. Gerald E. Roy is a graduate of the School of the Worcester Art Museum in Worcester, Massachusetts; and he holds a B.F.A. from the California School of Arts and an M.F.A. from Mills College, both in Oakland, California.
