Item Description

Title: Free to be Me
Artist: Victoria Kloch, of California
I have dedicated this piece with love to my two family members Pam and Sharon who are my inspiration not only for this project, but for my life.

'' My choice of using the color pink with silver leaf foil in this abstract was inspired by my neice, Pam.   I used the silver leaf foil on this piece because it signifies to me her inner-beauty that shines like a star and the pink which we have all come to identify with Breast Cancer Awareness.    Pam is currently waiting for her surgery and by the time this auction begins she will be well on her way to recovery.

The title Free to Be Me was inspired by Sharon, who told me that even though she had lost a breast to cancer, her sweetheart told her that she was just as beautiful as she was before she had her surgery.  The scar that was left would not dictate her 'outer' beauty.  She is truly 'Free to Be Me'.''

Victoria Kotch is a modern 'abstract impressionism' painter working full time in the San Francisco Bay area, CA.   Her paintings can be found thoughout the US and internationally.   She is an award winning artist, and earned a scholarship for fine art and lost cast jewelry.
