Twined Hemp Basket, by Vera Longtoe Sheehan
Vera Longtoe Sheehan's twined bags are on exhibit in MKIM's Contemporary Art Gallery. With the assistance of photographer-daughter Lina Longtoe, Vera exhibited the process of twining, from gathering the raw materials in marshy fields, to making the cord, to twining the bag. Vera will be guest curator of MKIM's Contemporary Art Gallery for the summer 2014 exhibit.
