Item Description
1930s Grand Rapids, MI, Sewing Table
The style represents an early-20th-century renewed interest in American crafts; Grand Rapids, MI, became a furniture making center during that time. This table has 3 graduated drawers; the top one has an insert for notions. The two deep sides were to store yarns and other supplies. This piece has fluted legs, in-lay stringing (even on the back!), and dove-tailed drawers. Structurally in excellent condition; slight unevenness in finish on table-top surface.
