RIVERWEAR
Call it Shangri La, El Dorado, or Atlantis. Stocked with every kind of recreation gear, pesky forgotten doodads and new unknown goods, Riverwear’s inventory is near mythical.
A treasure trove of stock piled recreation accessories, fashion forward kicks and Sawtooth and White Cloud guidebooks, the highway side Riverwear is over brimming with supplies. All 360 degrees of the store are piled high and low with innovative and classic items for crafting a stellar Stanley vacation.
The Big 30
Celebrating its 30th year in business, Riverwear’s old merchandise is currently decorating the stores rafters. A family business, original owner Charlie passed down the store to his daughter Erin and her husband Mark seven years ago. Comely Erin, is behind the store’s fashion and her dark haired husband Mark heads up the outdoor gear and footwear.
Additionally their staff of Sawtooth sages, ranging from 30 year Stanley native and trail sensei Kathy to tanned ice-climber Dustin, offer both amiable service and knowledge. At Riverwear the alpine advice on the house.
Now to get to the meat of the matter, the stuff. Riverwear’s inventory has more than once tempted me to empty my bank account in pursuit of the hippest clothes and supplies. The pyramid of Minnetonka moccasins alone, causes me to salivate every time I visit the store.
