Item Description
Channel Islands National Park and National Marine Santuary: California's Galapagos autographed by Jean-Michel Cousteau and author/photographer, Tim Hauf
You are bidding on one hardcover book autographed by Jean-Michel Cousteau and author/photographer, Tim Hauf.
About the Book:
For many of us the camera is at best a fashion accessory, looped around the neck like a fine broach. Pictures come and pictures go but seldom does one demand our attention and leave us in awe of natures beauty.
In the hands of Tim Hauf, however, the camera works magic! Each image bursts from the page in stunning beauty. From the diminutive island fox, to the lumbering humpback whale, Mr. Hauf has a rare and precious relationship with the lens.
Hauf's latest photo book collection provides a stunning example (many examples, actually) of his work capturing the Channel Islands and surrounding oceans. With some 225 images, this third photo book on the Channel Islands pays homage to the 'California Galapagos' as the islands are often referred. Foreword by Jean-Michel Cousteau.
About Tim Hauf: Tim Hauf has been a professional photographer since the early 1990s. His photographs have been featured in numerous publications throughout the world, including Islands, Sunset, Asia Pacific Travel, Mini-World (Japan), Explore (Canada), Terre Sauvage (France), Dove (Italy), South Africa Times, USA Today, National Geographic, Smithsonian, and many others. His list of published books include unique destinations such as the Himalaya of Nepal; South America’s remote Patagonia; the rugged wilderness of northern Manitoba, Canada; South Africa’s remarkable World Heritage Sites; Ventura County; and Channel Islands National Park. In addition to having his work displayed in numerous solo and group exhibitions, Tim’s work is also part of the permanent art collection at Santa Barbara’s Cottage Hospital.
