Item Description
This is a one day tour with Jocatours, a safari company in Tanzania. Early in the morning, the guest will be picked up ready for the program. Our tour will start from Patandi special needs school at Tengeru where the guest will able to visit the mentally handicapped children for an hour. This is a chance for the guest to experience the life of children who are mostly hidden in the society.
After Patandi transfer to Lake Duluti.
It is believed that during the 1940’s, the caves of Duluti were used by the Wameru to pray for rains, against diseases, bad omen and to bring luck to the community. A black sheep used to be slaughtered each time there was a prayer need. The meat was always grilled near the lake and the leftovers including small pieces of meat were thrown into the water for the ‘Gods of the Lake Duluti’ to feast and probably grant the prayer request. All this would have taken place when the invited members of the community were singing songs tailored to ask the ‘Gods’ to bring luck and grant their wish. However, with time things have changed. The Caves now attract locals and other nationalities all in need of praying for specific needs.
Lunch will be at Lake Duluti. Thereafter, we transfer our guest to Ng’iresi Cultural village where the guest will be able to visit a Natural forest, local irrigation and Maasai homes plus some walking and a visit of local farms.
Later in the evening, the guest will have a cocktail at Lè Jacaranda while Fred is setting his drums for a performance together with his group as a gift for our guest. Dinner depends on our guest but we as Joca Tours would like to share with our guest dinner in Local restaurants while exchanging ideas. After dinner we will transfer our guests to their hotel.
