Somerville Theatre is celebrating 100 years!  Located at 55 Davis Square in Somerville - (617) 625-5700.  In 1990, the Fraiman family’s F.E.I. Theatres assumed operation of the Somerville, and with long-overdue renovations, successfully preserved the theatre’s venerable architectural integrity. The Capitol Theatre, located at 204 Mass. Ave., Arlington - 781-648-4340 continues its tradition of affording locals a steady mix of movies, with an emphasis on family-friendly films and independent productions. The majestic theater #1 and the historic lobby has a seating area suitable for relaxing before your movie with a cool ice cream. The Capitol features three REAL-D 3D movie screens and has the lowest priced 3D ticket in the area. Each of the 6 auditoriums is unique, decorated in the style of the original theatre with modern comfortable seats and stereo sound as well.  The history of the Capitol is likewise a fascinating read.

Both the box offices for the Capitol and the Somerville Theatres open for movie tickets approximately 10-15 minutes before the first show of the day and closes approximately 10-15 minutes after the last movie of the day has begun.  They only run around 5 minutes of ads and trailers before feature films - so please plan accordingly
