Item Description
Own a genuine piece of USPS history---the first stamp ever issued to honor an openly-gay figure. Released in May of this year, the Harvey Milk stamp honors the legacy of the San Francisco supervisor who brought hope and progress to the LGBT community before his assassination in 1978. Measuring 10 x 13 inches, this official USPS framed piece features an enlargement of the Harvey Milk stamp that includes a quote from Milk that reads, "Hope will never be silent." Beneath the enlargement, a block of four Harvey Milk stamps pairs with a silver plaque inscribed with the First Day of Issue details. Showcased in a simple black frame, the piece also includes a dust cover and sawtooth hanger on the back for easy display. Value Today: $40.00 Tomorrow: Priceless?
