Item Description
Take a look at the gallery on Backyard's website and you'll be drooling. Backyard is a seasonal, sustainable restaurant nestled in the small town of Forestville, California. Chef Daniel Kedan draws his inspiration from Sonoma County with all of its amazing bounty; orchards, farms, ranchers, foragers and fisherman. Every fruit, vegetable and animal is grown, raised or line-caught locally. They value community and the moral, ethical practices of sustainability — which shine through in every dish.
Reviews:
One of my favorite new restaurants of the year is this unassuming little spot in Forestville. Sourcing, literally, from chef-owner Daniel Kedan’s own backyard culinary gardens and those of his ranch and farming neighbors, the Ad Hoc and Peter Lowell’s alum opened his small community-focused restaurant in October with a relatively simple menu that relies on seasonal produce, foragers and whole-animal butchery as its foundation. Five stars, hands down. I've now been to Backyard three times, and honestly I could have given them the five star review the first time around. The service is friendly and upscale, and the interior is charming and intimate.
An awesome restaraunt with incredible food, service and super cozy environment. Who ever owns this place, wow, they hit it out of the park.
Food: flipping excellent! 100% organic, heck, the chef butchers there own meat and prepares it from scratch! Vegetables to die for, deep dark greens, orange and reds...so fresh and perfect. Coffee is in little personal French presses. Delicious. Bacon OMG!! Thick, smoky scrumptious!
