Professor Belcher is a recipient of the 2004 McArthur Foundation “genius” grant and numerous other awards, honors, and accolades for her groundbreaking research on using biological materials to assemble nanoscale structures for batteries, solar cells, clean fuels, medical diagnostics, and more.
