Relax with a 4-night stay in beautiful Mt. Shasta!

Location, charm and comfort...the 'A' Street Retreat has it all! Don't be deceived by the cute 'cottage' exterior...this home has 6 bedrooms and 3 baths and can sleep up to 13 people. It is ideal for families as it is just 1 1/2 blocks from the adorable, historic downtown Mt. Shasta. Teens and older kids can walk to the movies, to basketball courts at the local school, and to parks. Adults will love the restaurants and shopping just around the corner while enjoying the peaceful residential neighborhood.

Living room has ample seating, big screen TV with cable, Netflix, Hulu Plus and Amazon, high speed internet access and cozy wood stove with generous supply of wood for winter months. Dining area table can expand to seat 14 (10 without expansion) and breakfast room seats another 6. Spacious and charming kitchen with new range, granite countertops and dishwasher is very thoroughly supplied for all of your cooking and baking needs. Bedroom #1 downstairs is off the living room and contains a second TV with cable and DVD player so the kids and adults can be entertained separately. A lovely day-bed trundle (sleeps 2) provides extra seating and 'hanging out' space and the warm yellow walls, green quilts and sunny windows make the space very welcoming. Bedroom #1 shares a Jack and Jill bath with bedroom #2. Bedroom #2 is a teen girl's dream with white day-bed trundle (sleeps 2), floral quilts, white dresser, whimsical wall art, and its own 'Harry Potter Cupboard' under the stairs (complete with cozy mattress and reading lights for some private time!). Bedroom #3 is adjacent to the second downstairs bathroom and contains an adorable trundle bunkbed (sleeps 3). The perfect place for your little rascals, this room is decorated with beautiful, cozy comforters and silly monkey wall art. Upstairs, bedroom #4 has two lovely maple twin beds with very high quality mattresses and bedding. Sweet reading lights above each bed, built in cabinets and antique postcards of the Mt. Shasta area make this room a wonderful retreat. Bedroom #5 upstairs is decorated in soothing tones of sage and cream and has a beautiful iron frame queen bed with a very high quality mattress and bedding. Built in cabinets, a spacious closet and a comfortable chair will assure that you have room to move and to relax. The largest room upstairs is Bedroom #6. With a peek-a-boo view of Mt. Shasta, this comfortable room includes another beautiful iron bed frame (of course with high quality mattress and bedding), handmade bedside tables, a cozy reading chair and lamp and built-in dresser. The upstairs bathroom is a large, sunny room with a claw foot tub that you will want to soak in for hours. You will find a fully stocked laundry room with large capacity washer and dryer off of the kitchen and up to 7 off-street parking spaces (depending on snow levels!) in the rear of the property. Back deck with view of the Eddy mountain range.

The house is literally less than 2 minutes from some of the best amenities the town of Mt. Shasta has to offer. Walk to the Berryvale Market for fresh organic groceries and delicious prepared foods or stop at the Goat Tavern (picked by Sunset Magazine as one of the Best of the West) for an amazing burger, sweet potato fries and a beer. Want the BEST eggs benedict north of San Francisco followed by a world class cinnamon roll? Then walk three short blocks to the Mt. Shasta Pastry Company for breakfast. The 'A' Street Retreat has the benefit of being in the heart of the downtown area with the quiet, relaxing feel of a residential neighborhood. Restrictions: June - August: Sunday through Thursday only (4-night stay). September - May, weekends bookings (excluding holidays) permitted. All subject to availability. Winning bidder is responsible for $120 cleaning fee and $500 refundable damage deposit payable at time of reservation.
