Join Senior Curator Paul Marinari for a unique experience at the Clouded Leopard Science Facility located at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute (SCBI) in Front Royal, VA. Guests (maximum 4 people) will enjoy a lunch prepared and served by Paul (dietary restrictions will be discussed prior to visit). Time sensitive based on animal management; ideal time will be October. Learn about the science and management of clouded leopards at SCBI and our partner facilities including the Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Thailand. Normally not open to the public, the National Zoos Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute (SCBI) is a 3,200-acre site in the Shenandoah Valley, where scientists and staff are engaged in multi-disciplinary research to recover endangered species, save habitat, and restore species to the wild.
