Item Description
This Sweet Japanese Watercolor of Sparrows, features three birds on the ground. the painting is 8"x7" and matted in ivory and professionally framed with acid free.
There is a red seal from the artist studio.
The over all size of the frame is 14.5"x13".
Sparrows are a beloved subject in Japanese paintings. These birds are in hues of browns, and tans and seem to be beckoning spring to come soon.
There is a traditional Japanese fable telling of a kind old man, his avaricious wife and an injured sparrow. The story explores the effects of greed, friendship and jealousy on the characters.
