Item Description
A rare collection of limited, Subscriber Edition numbered prints of endangered species at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute (previously called the Conservation and Research Center) by Don Heywood. This portfolio contains 12 prints of various animals located at and/or studied at SCBI in Front Royal, VA. This is a limited edition (100 units) work and is presented in a hand-crafted linen and leather-bound portfolio containing the twelve prints and a colophon (pictured) of the collection. The dimensions of the prints are 27"x19".
SCBI is a 3,200-acre site in the Shenandoah Valley, where scientists and staff are engaged in multi-disciplinary research to recover endangered species, save habitat, and restore species to the wild. The SCBI facilitates and promotes research programs based on-site, at the National Zoo in Washington, and at field research and training sites around the world.
