Item Description
Irish sterling silver and freshwater pearl earrings and necklace.
In the heart of Dublin, designers at Shanore, a family-owned jewelry studio draw on the backdrop of their ancient city, founded in the 8th century, to create classic designs that incorporate classic Celtic motifs. These sterling silver and freshwater pearl accents feature a classic Celtic trinity knot, also called the triquetra. Found in ancient Celtic texts like the Book of Kells, it has also become a symbol of the Christian holy trinity. In Celtic tradition, it symbolizes strength and unity—the knot itself has no beginning or end. It can represent past, present, and future, or the stages of a woman's life according to Celtic lore: young woman, mother, and grandmother.
