Founded in 1991 by James Houghton, Signature makes an extended commitment to a playwright's body of work, and during this journey, the writer is engaged in every aspect of the creative process. The winner of this package will receive 2 seven-play subscriptions to Signature's Off-Broadway productions in the 2015/16 season. You and a guest will enjoy a year of in-depth explorations of the world's most vital dramatists.
The 7 play Signature 2015/16 season includes: the world premiere Westport Country Playhouse co-production of A.R. Gurney's comedy Love and Money; the world premiere of Naomi Wallace's drama Night is a Room, directed by Bill Rauch; Signature One Acts directed by Lila Neugebauer, including Edward Albee’s The Sandbox, María Irene Fornés’ Drowning and Adrienne Kennedy’s Funnyhouse of a Negro; world premiere production of John, written by Annie Baker and directed by Sam Gold; Arthur Miller's Incident at Vichy, directed by Michael Wilson; Bill Irwin and David Shiner in their award-winning, critically acclaimed production of Old Hats; Angel Reapers, by Martha Clarke and Alfred Uhry, directed and choreographed by Martha Clarke; and the world premiere production of Quiara Alegría Hudes' drama Daphne's Drive, directed by Thomas Kail.
