Item Description
Playin’ Around South Orange called Marie Glynn back to the “piano canvas” for another go this year, this time to heed the inspirational whispers from Vincent Van Gogh’s painting “Starry Night.” The donated upright given to Marie to paint has been transformed into a swirling post-impressionistic piece, complete with Cypress trees and golden constellations. In a nice multi-media touch, the artist has shellacked piano sheet music onto the instrument below the keyboard. Marie looks forward to South Orange residents being inspired by the “music inherent in the brushstrokes of her version of Starry Night’” and hopes that many will stop by to tickle the old ivories on her painted piano and maybe even make a bid at Biddingforgood.com/sopac.
