This awesome gift basket includes a gift certificate that may be used for either a Reading Consultation or Reading Screening at Bodine School for any student in SrK-5th grade.
A Reading Consultant is for students who already have a current Psychological Educational Evaluation and/or a Speech Language Evaluation. A member of Bodine School's Academic Administrative team will:
-review the results (along with current student work samples),
-help families better understand their child's relative strengths and struggles, and
-make a recommendation for further support
A Reading Screening is for students who have not had formal testing. The screening is not a full-scale Psychological Educational Evaluation. Its purpose is to help families determine if a child's struggles with readng, writing, and spelling suggest a possible learning difference. The screening includes a battery of assessments which gauge reading fluency and comprehension, phoneic awareness, decoding and encoding.
