Item Description

Visit Spain’s glorious Costa del Sol and unwind in beautiful Frigiliana, voted “the prettiest village in Andalucia” by the Spanish Tourism Authority.

Five kilometers from the Mediterranean, this open-format two-bedroom home is situated at the top of the picturesque village of Frigiliana, affording breathtaking views of tile rooftops below, olive groves in the distance, and the azure sea stretching to the horizon. Just off the kitchen is a terrace overlooking a large, stepped garden with fruit trees. An ancient fig tree affords a lovely cool spot, even in the heat of summer.

Located at the base of the Sierras, Frigiliana enjoys easy access to any number of excursions into the mountains and countryside. Nearby beaches abound, as do many points of interest, such as Granada (1.5 hours away). A quiet village still reliant on agriculture, Frigiliana has great restaurants, bars, and other tourist amenities. Since cars are not allowed in the village itself, the house is reached by foot—about an eight-minute walk from the car-park.

This is a perfect place to paint, read, chat, meditate, or have a siesta. Perhaps a bottle of good, inexpensive, Spanish wine is in order?
