Item Description
2013 Brooks Note Marin County Pinot Noir review from the PinotFile:
“Moderate reddish purple color in the glass. Highly aromatic with effusive aromas of black cherry, savory herbs and cardamom spice. The mid weight flavors of cherry, black plum, black tea and star anise are inviting, and nicely accented with a touch of toasty oak. Good freshness with an underlying savory tone, very modest tannins, and a finish fueled by cherry and raspberry aromatic goodness. Score: 90. Reviewed April 20, 2015”
The Wine: Our Marin County Pinot comes from the windswept hills and rolling pastures of Western Marin. Cool ocean breeze from the Petaluma Gap provides the perfect climate for Pinot Noir. It offers vibrant raspberry, cherry, blueberry and earthy notes supported by an elegant structure. It’s great by its self, or with food. There were only 250 cases of this wine produced and just a few magnums.
The Tasting: Garry worked as the Enologist for Kosta Browne and the Assistant Winemaker at Dutton Goldfield before starting Brooks Note Winery in 2011. He’ll lead you and your friends (up to a party of 6) on a barrel tasting tour of how he makes wines. You will see how barrel maker, barrel age, vineyard, and clone selection come together to make great Pinot Noir.
Restrictions/ Expiration: Tasting time and date to be mutually agreed upon with Garry.
Donations will be mailed to winning bidder.
Item Special Note
