Item Special Note
Bo is a Certified Arborist / Treeworker, Climber Specialist with the International Society of Arboriculture. Bo has been in the business of climbing and caring for trees for over 17 years. A native of Michigan, he learned his trade in Colorado, working in large trees and tough terrain. He then moved to Chicago in 2007 where he served as Tree Surgeon for the City's Park District. Bo now lives in Cedar and is an active arborist, practicing in the Leelanau and Grand Traverse area.
In addition to expert tree care, Bo also teaches recreational tree climbing. As a climber specialist and technical rope expert, Bo offers safe and environmentally responsible tree climbing adventures for all ages and experience levels. Bo's classes are for everyone who is nature and science minded, looking for a more unusual athletic pursuit. Participants will be able to climb a tree during their first lesson. Advanced classes are also available to climbers of all levels, including instruction in the newest advancements in the single rope technique (SRT).
