Item Description

Included with the wine collection is a "Book of Tails" sharing the donor's "tails" about the wines chosen for you. This memory book is a great place for you to also include your story about each of these bottles, perhaps who you shared it with, or if you opened it on a special occasion, or even what meal you served it with. Some examples of the donor stories are shared here.

Item Special Note
We visited The Terraces for a tasting. It's such a beautiful place where they not only make wine, but also honey and balsamic vinegar. We toured the property, stopping to see one of their bee hives and also tasting the balsamic vinegar at different stages in the aging process. - Stuart and Barbara Ray
"Ladies Who Shoot Their Lunch" - My first bottle was a gift from a neighbor who knows my story and felt this was the perfect gift... The Cincinnati Kid meets a Kansas Boy and falls in love! He shares his love of nature, the outdoors and hunting. She shares her love of dogs. Now winter afternoons are spent together as a family; husband, wife and dogs, out finding game birds! The Cincinnati Kid is now a "Lady Who Shoots Her Lunch" and cleans it (well the Kansas Boy takes care of that part) and cooks it. - Kelly and Rob Benton
2003 Rudd "Oakville Estate" Cabernet Sauvignon Score 93/100
Rich, opulent and full-bodied, this 2003 is performing even better than it did early on. Stunningly profound with some tannin still to shed, it remains somewhat tight and reserved, but the wine is bursting with enormous potential.
2003 Clos Erasmus Priorat Spain Score 99 out of 100
Big forward bright nose of black fruit with licorice hints. Wow, nice rich somewhat sweet black fruit and spice. A very good vintage for Erasmus -- lovely! - Kim and CJ Lett
1993 Beringer Private Reserve Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and 1993 Beringer Napa Valley Howell Mountain Merlot Bancroft Ranch
1st winery I ever visited. Ready to drink now and the next 3 years. Stored horizontally at 55° F in wine cellar. - John and Tammie Lohnes
