Artist Inspiration:
Flowery Mischief is inspired by Ashlea’s friends’ cat who enjoys playing in her garden. She seems so at peace amongst the flowers. It is interesting to see how many creatures feel peaceful in nature because it is something we can say we are all part of.
Artist Bio:
Ashlea grew up in Colorado with her mom, two brothers and sister. “Ever since I was little I would do arts and crafts of all kinds and it has always been something I felt at peace doing. I am in love with cats, music and acting. I have one fluffy cat and a dog and they are my best friends. I've always wanted to help in any way I could and this was the perfect opportunity for me to help with a cause I love”.
This is Ashlea’s first year in Tails of the Painted Cats. Her art has been encouraged and nurtured by mom and artist Pam Schmidt, a participant in the TOPC project since its start in 2011. Cat Care Society is pleased to feature the work of this young aspiring artist this year with “Flowery Mischief,” inspired by her friend’s cat in the garden.
Online Bidding:
We are offering online bidding for the Painted Cats, Flat Cats, Clay Cats and the Paper Cats from May 13th through September 13th. Online bidding will close on September 13th.
Bidding will resume at the Tails of the Painted Cats Gala Dinner & Auction on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Pinehurst Country Club from 5-8pm.
Please note: If you are unable to attend the Gala Dinner be sure to set your maximum bid online by September 13th and we will serve as your proxy bidder during the event.
Winning bidders are responsible for all shipping costs.
The Painted Cat will be shipped through UPS. Delivery signature and insurance will be required. The cost for insurance will be based on the winning bid amount.

All cats will be available for pick up at the Gala Dinner & Auction on September 16, 2017. Cats that need to be shipped will be shipped on September 18, 2017.
