The winning bidder gets a signed copy of Soframiz, a cookbook featuring the sweet and savory tastes of Turkey, Lebanon, and Greece and written by award-winning chefs Ana Sortun and Maura Kilpatrick. Also included is a $100 gift certificate towards cooking classes, catering, or eat-in or take-out delectables at Sofra, a casual cafe, bakery and specialty food shop located steps from Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge. Check out the dishes at Sofra, then go home and whip them up for your friends and family!
Ana Sortun was awarded the Best Chef in the Northeast by the James Beard Foundation in 2005 and opened Oleana (central Cambridge) in 2001 and Sofra (Somerville) in 2008. Maura Kilpatrick has earned several nominations from the James Beard Foundation for Outstanding Pastry Chef and the title of Boston's Best Pastry Chef from Boston magazine.
