ARTIST BIO:
As a young child Lynnie was fortunate to have a mentor who was an artist schooled in Paris. She was exposed to classic oil painting and observing portraiture. Although oil painting was interesting to her, she found a true love for sketching. The ease and mobility of a sketch book and a few pencils instilled a lifelong passion for art. In her years of embracing art, Lynnie has explored expressing and interpreting spirituality, tragedy, love, loss and the female form through a multitude of media. She found the unrestricted use of materials and the freedom of mixed media suited her creative process. Instinctively, Lynnie prefers to start each piece with what she refers to as "intuitive collage.” She carefully chooses words, poems and literature as an underlayment on each painting. This sets the mood and intent of the canvas creation.
Lynnie, a former resident artist at The Generator, has contributed to numerous exhibitions and most recently, an exhibit honoring breasts and body image in San Francisco.
