Item Description
Since winning Project Runway in 2014, Michelle Lesniak has shown her work around the world, dressed celebrities, costumed for dance and drama, and spoken out about the need for “slow fashion,” that is, a return to high-quality clothes that don’t end up in landfills.
Her design is an interpretation of this second-day wedding dress from 1895 that once belonged to Ettie Lenora Ansell McCollester. Such garments were worn to events and parties the day after one’s wedding.
