Item Description

Direct from its revolutionary Off-Broadway run, the Tony-nominated WHAT THE CONSTITUTION MEANS TO ME has arrived on Broadway for a limited engagement. This boundary-breaking play breathes new life into our Constitution and imagines how it will shape the next generation of American women.

Fifteen-year-old Heidi Schreck (Tony nom.) earned her college tuition by winning Constitutional debate competitions across the United States. Now, the Obie Award winner recalls her teenage self in order to trace the profound relationship between four generations of women in her own family and the founding document that dictated their rights and citizenship. This hilarious, hopeful and "achingly human" (Exeunt Magazine) exploration features Schreck alongside Mike Iveson, Rosdely Ciprian, and Thursday Williams.

Grab these 2 tickets and find out what the Constitution means to you! You'll also have an exciting opportunity to grab drinks with Oliver Butler, the director of the show.

Oliver Butler is a founder and co-Artistic Director of The Debate Society. He won the Obie Award for Best Direction for his work on the premiere of Will Eno’s THE OPEN HOUSE. He recently directed THE AMATEURS by Jordan Harrison at The Vineyard, and the West Coast Premiere of Will Eno's THOM PAIN (BASED ON NOTHING) starring Rainn Wilson at The Geffen Playhouse.
