Item Description
Celebrating the 200th anniversary of what is now Duffy's Boalsburg Tavern, The History of the Boalsburg Tavern -- and the Woman Who Saved It, was commissioned by the Centre County Historical Society and written by Cathy Horner. The following is from the publisher's web site:
The small village of Boalsburg, Pennsylvania was bustling with activity at the turn of the nineteenth century. Two major stagecoach routes passing through town made it the perfect place for an inn and tavern. Colonel James Johnston and his wife, Hannah, built the Boalsburg Tavern in 1819.
Exploring its history may make the dining experience even more unique. Offering a comfortable mix of fine and casual dining in cozy atmosphere, the menu options range from Pan Roasted Bison Pub Steak and Chilean Sea Bass to their famous, award-winning chicken wings!
