Item Description
Judge's Choice Winner
Sally Allan and Audrey Berkan have partnered this year to create a very unusual bird. He is certainly not the most attractive bird in the flock but he is one of the most interesting. This 5 foot creature is native to eastern Africa and likes to munch on eels and lungfish. He also confuses golf balls with eggs.
After attending the Gifted and Talented Art program at Saginaw Arts and Sciences, Audrey is finishing her degrees in art and art history. She also intends to pursue an added degree in horticulture.
Sally has her BA and MA from Michigan State University and taught art in Saginaw Public Schools for 36 years. Her last teaching position was as the 3D instructor at SASA.
Both of them continue to expand and refine their areas of interest with classes and competitions including snow sculpture. They are also deeply involved in animal rescue and rehoming of pets.
