Item Description

Looking for a unique, meaningful gift for a retirement, farewell, or other special occasion? I can help! I create handmade original block prints of military aircraft, ships, and nature-themes. All prints are drawn, carved, and printed by me on archival paper with oil-based inks for vibrant, eye-catching colors that last! For your custom order, we will work together to design an image of a particular model, mission, or place, with contact and pictures from me during the entire process. The stories I get to hear about the customer’s military service or relationship to a craft or a place are one of the perks of the job for me. I look forward to bringing your experiences into a beautiful piece of art! Here are some examples of my commissioned block prints.

About the Artist

Alicia AH Lindbom is an artist, printmaker, environmental educator, and naval pilot spouse. Taking inspiration from her work and life, Alicia creates bold, colorful nature and military themed prints. Each print is designed, drawn, cut, and printed by hand on archival paper using oil-based inks.

Alicia has a BFA in Illustration from Kendall College of Art and Design, and began working with block prints in 2014. Her favorite part of block printing is the creative contrast it offers to her traditional skills in oil painting. Unlike a painting, which can evolve during the production process, block prints require careful planning and a single mistake can mean starting all over. Printing is a little technique and a lot of holding your breath!
