Item Description
This children's book, signed by the author, describes the journey of a Cuban Jewish 13 year old girl who went as an unaccompanied minor from Cuba to The United States in 1961 between the Bay of Pigs Invasion and the Missile Crisis. She did not speak English upon arrival but, after a lot of hard work and support from others, she became a judge.

The book emphasizes the value of diversity and inclusion and has both interactive activities for children and discussion questions for their older siblings or adults who are reading the book with the children.
