Item Description
Alison Anthony, President & CEO of Tulsa Area United Way, and husband Mark Wilson, one of Tulsa’s most popular yoga teachers, invite you to join them at their home for a one-hour yoga session by the pool, followed by brunch (in the case of bad weather, the yoga can move to the studio inside the home). Whether you are an experienced yogi or just curious and want to try something new, you’ll be moved by Mark’s unique blend of yoga which integrates Native American singing and a pathway to settle in, clear your mind, and be restored.
About Alison & Mark:
Alison and Mark have long been active in the community and social justice efforts, receiving many honors and recognition for their service and for taking risks on behalf of others. Before joining TAUW as President and CEO, Alison had a long career at Williams, where she was President of the Williams Foundation and the company’s Director of Strategic Outreach. Mark retired after 25 years with The University of Oklahoma and the School of Community Medicine before embarking on a new career as a yoga instructor.
Their connection to TAUW goes back many years, both having served as board members and volunteers. Both Alison and Mark serve on several nonprofit Boards and have chaired numerous community events in the state where they have raised their five children and now two grandchildren.
