Item Description

PlumpJack Collection of Wineries - PlumpJack, Cade, Odette, and Adaptation - 4 Bottles

A selection of wines from the PlumpJack Collection of Wineries - 2022 PlumpJack Reserve Chardonnay, 2019 Cade Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, 2021 Odette Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2019 Adaptation Cabernet Sauvignon.

PlumpJack Winery 2022 Reserve Chardonnay, Napa Valley

The 2022 PlumpJack Reserve Chardonnay is a gorgeous, multi-faceted wine. The nose delivers layers of aromas – apple, baked pear, and lemon curd mingle with white peach, apricot, and honeysuckle with a dash of nutmeg and cinnamon just beneath the fruit. The palate is energetic and dynamic, beginning with rich, mouth-filling texture reminiscent of lemon curd, followed by bright acidity that evokes lemon zest and honey crisp apples. The beautiful acidity pulls the wine through the back of the palate and creates a long and structured finish.

In 1995, Gavin Newsom and Gordon Getty stumbled upon a magical piece of land in the heart of Oakville, Napa Valley. Inspired by one of Shakespeare’s most memorable characters, Sir John “PlumpJack” Falstaff, whose fun-loving and down-to-earth disposition was only rivaled by his fierce loyalty to Prince Henry V, with whom he shares more than a few goblets of sack (wine) at the local tavern. We pay allegiance to our world-class vineyard by crafting high-quality wines that honor the land, and we celebrate the convivial spirit of our namesake with their inviting, approachable style.

Cade Estate 2019 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Howell Mountain, Napa Valley

On the nose are aromas of cola, blueberry, red cherry, coco nibs, baking spices, and dried cranberries, followed by flavors of boysenberry, black cherry, elderberry, dark chocolate, clove, and licorice. It finishes with bramble, amaretto, and dried blue/black fruits. This wine has a classic Howell Mountain structure and tannin — big and bold but balanced in approach. The cooler vintage produced wines with higher perceived acidity and exceptional red fruit flavors and aromas

At CADE Estate, we believe that winemaking should honor the land, both aesthetically and ecologically. Our philosophy of making luxury wine in harmony with the environment begins in the soil of our estate vineyard where we maintain a painstaking program of natural cultivation—a rewarding program that made us the first organically farmed LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold Certified estate winery in the Napa Valley.

We like to call the nuanced, artisanal expression of our wines Modern Howell Mountain—high elevation cabernet sauvignon that articulates the intense, powerful character of our estate while maintaining a balance of mountain fruit, firm acidity and judicious oak for layered, complex wines that reflect approachability and age ability.
