Item Description

California King - Cabernet Sauvignon by Jarvis, Postmark, Del Dotto, and Pott - 4 Bottles

Cabernet is King in California. Here is a selection of Cabernet Sauvignon wines from Napa to Paso Robles that are sure to drive the point home.

Jarvis 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley - 1 Bottle

Our 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon was harvested after an exemplary growing season that provided bountiful quantity and impressive quality. The density and concentration is visible in the glass, and continues on the nose with aromatics of dried herbs and rich, black fruit. On the palate, these black fruit flavors are joined by notes of cocoa powder and dark cherry. Firm, supple mountain tannins provide delightful structure that lingers throughout the vibrant finish.

Winery: Jarvis Estate

Bottle Size: 750ml

Number of Bottles: One

Vintage: 2018

Varietal: Cabernet Sauvignon

Appellation: Napa Valley

Jarvis wines are all produced from estate vineyards, located high above the city of Napa, in the beautifully rugged mountains between Mt. George and Milliken Canyon at the southeastern end of the Napa Valley. The vineyards are planted in gently sloping meadows one thousand feet above the valley floor. As the cool maritime air passes over the Carneros flats and begins flowing into the valley, it falls about seven degrees in temperature for the thousand feet of vertical rise. As such, our vineyards tend to be cooler by several degrees than the famous Carneros region! These cooler temperatures allow a long “hang time,” which permits a long, slow fruit maturation for maximum flavor and concentration at harvest.

On the generously structured palate, lavish berry flavors lead to layers of chocolate and clove, with hints of warm baking spice emerging during a long, dramatic finish.

Bottle Size: 750mL

A postmark is an official seal traditionally stamped on letters to indicate a significant place and date. At Postmark, we have partnered with the finest growers in Paso Robles to craft a wine that showcases the region’s extraordinary Cabernet Sauvignon. This a blend of primarily Oakville Cabernet with a splash of Merlot to round out and soften up the finish. Varietal: Cabernet Sauvignon

Appellation: Napa Valley

Located in the beautiful Napa Valley, Del Dotto Family Wineries & Caves focus on small production, premium wines. Dave Del Dotto has spent the past 25 years acquiring vineyards in some of the best American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) including Rutherford, Oakville, St. Helena, Howell Mountain, and Fort Ross-Seaview Sonoma Coast.

With a family name rooted in winemaking since the 1400s, wine was in Dave’s veins. He started collecting bottles in the late ‘80s. In 1988, he was on a wine-buying trip in Napa Valley with his wife Yolanda when they stumbled upon a beautiful 1912 Frank Lloyd Wright craftsman house located in the desirable Rutherford appellation. Dave had a palate for fine wines and a love for real estate, and he knew the Rutherford property had the potential to produce some remarkable grapes. He and Yolanda purchased the 17-acre property on the spot after falling in love with the view. Shortly after, our family moved from Kona, Hawaii, and in 1990, continued the 800-year old Del Dotto legacy by planting new rootstock of cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, merlot and sangiovese.
