Have your very own bench on your favorite Kennebunk Land Trust property! Honor a loved one, celebrate your family or pet, or simply provide a place to sit for others.

The Sponsor-A-Bench program has starting bid is $1,000 and will cover the cost of the bench, placement, installation and name plate dedication.  Bench will be installed at one of the KLT trails of from the below locations (final location will be coordinated with KLT Stewardship Committee + Board) during the summer of 2024. Bench remains the property of KLT.  KLT is not responsible for replacement should bench become damaged or vandalized. 

All location selections will be first come, first serve. Please get in touch with Kennebunk Land Trust to request a location if you win. We will take requests but they are not guaranteed. Final locations and inscriptions are subject to Stewardship Committee approval

• Alewive Woods – Two locations:
-First trail intersection
-Trail head

• Wonderbrook – One location:
- At the Trailhead

• Mousam River Wildlife Sanctuary - One Location:
- Along the Mousam River

• For All Forever Preserve – One Location:
- Trailhead

About the bench - Handcrafted by The Woodshapers Shop of Maine from native white cedar, this New England Garden Bench is the perfect place to relax.  A contoured seat and gracefully arched back gives this instant classic both comfort and beauty. (Pro tip – check out one these benches already installed at Mousam River Wildlife Sanctuary near the railroad tracks and outlook; Alewive by Sucker Brook; For All Forever by the river; Butler along the trail!)

·       Winning bidders will be notified via email within 24 hours of auction closing.

·       Winning bidders must either pick up items at KLT office or arrange for shipping.

·       Bidder pays shipping costs and must arrange with KLT.
