Item Description
Cause for CELLAR-BRATION
While perfect for a special occasion, this bottle of 1982 Château Haut Brion wine is really an occasion all by itself.
From the Pessac Leognan Bordeaux area of France, this Bordeaux blend features a dry taste and red color. Haut Brion calls it "an outstanding vintage year for both quantity and quality. A wine with great harmony and balance, very rich in tannin . . . ends beautifully full and complex at the same time."
The critics agree. Stephen Tanzer, Robert Parker of Wine Advocate, and Wine Spectator all rate this wine between 94-96. According to Haut Brion, their original vines date back to at least Roman times. So, they've had plenty of time to get it right.
Item Special Note
The winning bidder accepts the purchase "as is." The wine will be available for pick-up from the donor. The shipment of vintage wine by commercial means can be very risky. If the winner is unable to pick up the wine, all shipping costs and risk will be assumed by the winner.
