Item Description
How romantic! This silver Guatemalan Wedding Necklace was purchased in 1968 by the donor during her visit to Guatemala. In Guatemala they have a practice of connecting people during weddings via their jewelry; the wedding necklace is draped around the bride and groom by the priest performing the ceremony. This necklace comes in a handpainted wooden box. Previously-loved by Betty Gonzalez. The necklace is silver in color, it does not have markings on it to indicate that it is sterling.
