Item Description
Tina is influenced by the bittersweet vine that is grown where she lives in the northwest corner of Connecticut. The character of this vine literally dictates to her what a basket, wall hanger and table should take. Adding to each piece her imagination and sense of color has influenced her to create indescribably dynamic and colorful work.
Weaving for Tina is a lot like painting; she creates her own technique of weaving where she lays down layers of colors and brings forth subtle texture. Her technique is known as “Dimensional Weaving”.
Flowers and landscapes are products of her “doodling”. Once again, the bittersweet vine dictates the initial form, which is then incorporated with her dimensional weaving using several different shades of colors that define the petals of the flower.
Tina’s artwork has been exhibited at museums, art galleries, libraries and craft shows. Furthermore, her work has been featured in magazines, newspapers and on television.
