Welcome to ACFE MD Chapter 21ACFE Maryland Chapter #21 is the primary nonprofit resource for fraud awareness training in our state. Members in our area share an interest in the detection and deterrence of fraud. In Maryland the Chapter acts as the local representative of the ACFE, the the world's largest anti-fraud organization and premier provider of anti-fraud training and education. MD Lawmarkers pass 2 consumer billsTwo consumer protection bills passed the Maryland legislature by the time it adjourned on April 8. Later the governor signed them. The Maryland Online Data Privacy Act of 2024 (SB541) prohibits companies from collecting online data unrelated to the transaction and giving away or trading personal data. Another bill (SB0539) would eliminate surprise fees during ticket transactions and ban speculative tickets. ACFE Global NewsACFE Global Fraud Conference: Ready for another conference this year?
